Post of Clinical Fellow in Otolaryngology

 Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow (Core Trainee 1/2 equivalent) in the ENT. This is a 12 month full time post to provide service cover beginning on 1st August 2020.

Basic salary £37,191.00pa plus additional elements for additional hours, weekend and evening working.

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides a full range of acute clinical services through the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (1,000 beds) and Cromer and District Hospital, including more specialist services such as oncology and radiotherapy, neonatology, orthopaedics, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, rheumatology, paediatric medicine and surgery.

Our staff of over 7,000 treat more than one million patients, covering Norfolk, neighbouring counties and further afield. Our patients are referred to us by around 100 local GP practices but also from other acute hospitals and primary care trusts around the country.

As a university teaching hospital we have developed our research and development strategy in partnership with the University of East Anglia.

We also work closely with our partners on the Norwich Research Park and Norwich Radiology Academy to take forward our ambitious targets for research and development.

This a 12 month full time Clinical Fellow Post (CT1/2 Equivalent) appointment available from 5th August, 2020.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to experience working in a busy teaching hospital ENT department.

The candidate is expected to participate in the daytime ENT on-call rota as well as cross covering Plastic Surgery at night. There are daily SHO urgent referral clinics as well as opportunities to attend theatre and consultant clinics. Weekly consultant supervised teaching occurs and there is an expectation to contribute to teaching within the department as well as undergraduate teaching.
