The Day Procedure Unit at Cromer Hospital is a vibrant environment which encompasses a Day Procedure room, Dermatology room and Ophthalmic theatre. A purpose built hospital in 2012; the day procedure units offers surgery for patients in a variety of specialties including pain, dermatology, plastics, urology, gynecology, ophthalmology, and varicose veins. It also encompasses medical treatments including venesections, BCG treatments, blood transfusions, chemotherapy, iron infusions and rheumatology infusions. We have a progressive and friendly team who are committed to delivering a very high standard to all of our patients.
We are looking for a forward thinking Nurse with relevant Medical or Surgical Treatment experience who is able to lead the department through a period of change incorporating all the procedure work into one team along with expanding medical services for the future. As post-holder, you will lead and work as part of your team, providing multi-specialty clinical leadership and management within the department. You will provide direct patient care acting as a resource and role model for the clinical team and deputising for the Charge Nurse in his absence.
- Registered Nurse on appropriate part of NMC register
- Extensive post registration experience including significant experience within day procedure / theatres at band 6 level
- Relevant specialist course knowledge
- Experience in managing / leading a team and coordinating workload
- Experience of mentoring, supervision, teaching and assessments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to implement change
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week
