An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated specialist clinician to work as part of the Acute SLT team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. The post holder will work with in-patients across a number of acute wards and also have opportunity to be involved with the videofluoroscopy, FEES and tracheostomy services.
You will join a supportive and motivated team and will have access to a number of specialists, including: Voice, Head and Neck Cancer, Critical Care and Stroke. The NNUH SLT team is enthusiastic and innovative and committed to evidence based practice. Regular team meetings, support and supervision ensure a high quality of service is provided
We would welcome applications from less experienced applicants who are dysphagia trained. This would be offered as a development post (B5) with Band 6 being awarded subject to a competencies framework
As post holder you will :
- provide specialist Speech and Language Therapy assessment, differential diagnosis, and treatment for adults with communication, and swallowing disorders in the Acute Care Team.
- provide specialist education, training and advice to patients, carers, SLT colleagues, other health care professionals, students, and voluntary organisations.
- work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure inter-professional patient care for patients with communication and swallowing disorders
Hours of work : Full time - 37.5 hours per week

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
