** Fixed term contract / secondment opportunity until 21st March 2020 **

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is looking to become involved in large procurement projects. Working with clinicians and a dynamic procurement team to ensure that the NNUH provides excellent care for its patients, by providing innovative and quality equipment and services for the trust. Value for money is an essential element of the process along with looking for additional benefits.

The role also includes managing the receipt and distribution team, plus the materials management team; who look after all the stock for the entire trust. The purpose of the Associate Director of Procurement is to act as an ambassador and foster a highly professional and responsive stakeholder service approach.

Proactively build professional relationships and interface with other departments to enable the delivery of savings targets and business goals.

Be the strategic and operational lead for Procurement and Materials Management for the Trust and be responsible for developing new and innovative methods to ensure efficient processes internally in order to deliver “best value” to stakeholders.

The Associate Director of Procurement will implement change, improvements, support and enable the Procurement team to enhance expertise, capability and potential.
