** Fixed term contract / secondment opportunity for 12 Months **

The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Network Eastern (CRN) is the clinical research delivery arm of the NHS. The NIHR operates nationally across England through a national co-ordinating centre and 15 local research networks in the NHS supporting research across all disease areas. This post is based at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals Foundation Trust, working from our offices in the city centre.

The CRN Eastern Administrator is responsible for providing high quality administrative support for the business processes associated with the running of the CRN Eastern office, host function and management teams. You will provide the day to day administrative support to the CRN Eastern office and Deputy Chief Operating Officer, including arranging meetings and conferences.  You will provide support for projects, and in some cases take responsibility for small projects, on behalf of the CRN Eastern Specialty Hub and Host Function teams.  The post holder will provide support to the CRN Eastern Executive Group and Partnership Group in the absence of the Executive Assistant.

You will work on a day to day basis within a local team but you will be required to liaise with colleagues in a wide range of groups and organisations, including the Clinical Research Network Coordinating Centre (CRN CC). You will also correspond regularly with the members of Specialty Groups, patient representatives and with clinicians and researchers conducting research in the NHS.

Due to the nature of this role you will be required to work without direct supervision on a day to day basis.

There is a requirement for occasional travel to sites within the CRN Eastern geography for meetings or rarely to the NIHR Coordinating Centre in Leeds.

**  If you are considering applying for this post on a secondment basis, please discuss with your Line Manager prior to applying to ascertain whether this could be supported. **
