Our modern hospital is set just outside the vibrant city of Norwich in the beautiful county of Norfolk - the land of big skies, stunning beaches and rolling countryside. Our busy and evolving hospital provides care to nearly a million patients each year and our passion for research and development is supported by our close links to the Norwich Research Park and the University of East Anglia.
Critical care nursing is a unique combination of working with the latest techniques and technology and delivering the highest standards of personal care to patients. We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Sister/ Charge Nurse with an interest in Risk Management and Governance to join our Critical Care.
If you have previous Critical Care experience and a proven track record of working as a Band 6 or above in this exciting and challenging field, we would welcome your application.
Our team of over 130 Nurses and 10 Critical Care Consultants are supported by a range of other healthcare professionals to deliver care to 10 Level 3 and 18 Level 2 beds. We work as a highly skilled, multi- disciplinary team providing support to level 2 and level 3 patients across a range of specialties.
This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic nurse with excellent communication and people management skills to provide a high standard of care to patients within a supportive, acute hospital setting. You will be guided through an initial supernumerary period.

As post holder you will :
- lead and work as part of the Ward/Department team, providing professional leadership and management within the work environment and providing oversight into unit Risk Management and Governance.
- be accountable and responsible for the standards of care provided within the ward/department and for leading, supporting and implementing innovative practice.
- provide direct patient care, demonstrating specialist knowledge and act as a resource and role model for the clinical team.
- work in liaison with other Senior Nurses/Department Managers and the Assistant Director of Nursing to implement Directorate/Divisional service plans.
Hours of work: Full time - 37.50 hours per week, rotational shifts to both days and nights which will include weekends and bank holidays
