We are looking to recruit a motivated, dynamic and experienced leader who can bring enthusiasm and energy to the Matron role within our busy Critical Care Complex.
The successful applicant will have experience of driving change to deliver safe and effective patient care in new and innovative ways. As Matron, you will be fully accountable for the Critical Care Complex including leading, motivating and supervising a multidisciplinary team of qualified and support staff, with responsibilities that include Human Resources management, cost improvement, service development and training and education and delivery of key performance indicators relating to the quality and safety standards within the Critical Care Complex. You will be expected to contribute to the divisional Matron team who support daily operational activities.
You will be part of the leadership team with responsibility for the strategic direction of the Critical Care Complex, whilst contributing to the strategic direction for the division and organization, ensuring delivery of plans in line with national performance frameworks and acting as the speciality expert.
Our Critical Care department has recently expanded to 24 beds: 10 level 3 and 14 level 2 beds. We provide critical care services to 1100 beds at NNUH and the Unit comprises of over 130 Nurses with 10 CCC Consultants and includes unregistered staff and allied health professionals. We work as part of a highly skilled, dynamic multi-disciplinary team providing care and management for patients requiring level 2 and 3 support from a wide variety of specialties.

Our busy and evolving hospital provides care to nearly a million patients each year and our passion for research and development is supported by our close links to the Norwich Research Park and University of East Anglia.
Hours of work: Full time - 37.5 hours per week.
