This post is designed to support inpatient care, but also to allow the existing Consultants to meet acute short term waiting list and other pressures. Our staff of over 7,000 treat more than one million patients; people from Norfolk, neighbouring counties and further afield. Our patients are referred to us by around 100 local GP practices but also from other acute hospitals and primary care trusts around the country.
