The Emergency Department is the busiest in the East of England, seeing in excess of 110,000 new patients each year.  We are in the process of developing new effective ways of working, and your role will be to support and work within the team to achieve high quality and compassionate care for our patients.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a role in the realisation of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals’ vision of: ‘to provide every patient with care we want for those we love the most’.

This role offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to work alongside a dedicated and highly skilled Team as we look forward to the future development of the ED.

The successful applicant will benefit from a structured development plan and further educational opportunities.

As post holder you will work with all members of the Ward/Department clinical team within the multi-disciplinary framework.  You will maintain a high standard of patient care under the direction of the Ward/Department Sister/Charge Nurse. You will act as a leader in the clinical area, in the absence of a more senior member of staff.   You will also work in accordance with the principles laid down by the Nursing/Midwifery professional bodies and Trust Policies.

To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH’s ‘PRIDE’ values of People focused, Respect, Dedication, Integrity and Excellence.

Full and part time hours are available. Full internal rotation to nights, including bank holidays and weekends.

Open for applications: 8th June 2018.

Close for applications: 21st June 2018.
