Registered Nurse in Emergency Medicine
Our emergency department is undergoing a radical period of development and growth and we are looking for talented Nurses to join us and help realise our ambitions to deliver the gold standard of care for our patients. Our leadership teams are passionate about providing the best possible services for our visitors to the Emergency Department and are proud to announce that plans for re-modelling of our facilities are now becoming a reality.
We have recently introduced the UK’s first Older Peoples Emergency Department (OPED), a dedicated service for patients over 80 and have drastically increased our Children’s Emergency Department creating a dedicated area for children and adolescents including a new resus area, HDU space, clinical isolation cubicles and support for patients with mental health conditions.
We are therefore looking for Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Medicine team in one of our bespoke areas.
- Nurse in Emergency Medicine
- Nurse in one of our dedicated new areas caring for the elderly within Emergency Medicine
- Nurse in our recently expanded children’s Emergency Department.
Working as a Registered Nurse in Emergency Medicine at NNUH can lead to a wide variety of career prospects including Advanced Care Practitioner and Emergency Care Practitioners and you will be fully supported to achieve the most you can from your career at NNUH.
Just think where your NNUH career could take you. Norfolk and Norwich university Hospital is the 6th largest acute hospital in the UK with new clinics and services being introduced each year, the possibilities are endless. For example 2018 started with us appointing Nurse Registrars and even our first Nurse Consultant. With strong links to the University of East Anglia and Norwich Research Park we want to give our staff every opportunity and the support to achieve their potential.
In Norwich a staggering 77% of people say they love their job. Although less than 2 hours from London and serviced by excellent transport links , Norwich is one of few UK cities that still retain a strong local identity and with that a strong sense of community – people walk down the street and say hello to each other, baristas remember our coffee order, you get to know about interesting local projects.
This strong sense of self along with excellent shopping, eating out, affordable house prices and excellent schooling is why Norwich has been ranked by the Guardian as the best city to work in.
