The General Medical Day Unit: GMDU, is a new unit being developed to manage medical elective patients as day cases. Procedures undertaken include paracentesis, liver biopsy, stent insertion, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics. The new unit offers a range of staff development opportunities, including bespoke skills training. Come and join this exciting new team and be part of developing of the new Day Unit; when fully established the unit will be open 7 days a week, (closed at night).

Respiratory: our multidisciplinary team embraces the latest innovations and technology to care for patients with a variety of respiratory conditions including those who require acute NIV. Opportunities for rotation are available. Contact Matron Katie Symonds on 01603 289623.

Stroke Services: our team care for stroke patients from A&E, providing essential thrombolysis, through to Rehab or end of life care if required. You will have the opportunity to work in both the hyper-acute and acute areas. Contact Matron Jane Douglas on 01603 646593.

Diabetes & Endocrinology: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join and be part of a brand new ward. Earsham Ward is a 36 bedded ward specializing in Diabetes &Endocrinology. Endocrinology is an exciting, evidence based specialty that offers opportunities to learn and develop nursing practice within a supported structure. Our Endocrinologists have experience in the management of all Endocrine diseases from adrenal, pituitary disease and Diabetes. We are currently seeking compassionate, enthusiastic and motivated band 5 registered nurses to join our friendly and motivated team. You will be fully supported and provided with learning and training opportunities.

Mulbarton: 34 bedded Oncology and Haematology ward caring for patients from acute new diagnosis, through radiation and chemotherapy treatment, stem cell transplant, symptom control and end of life care. Alongside runs an Acute Oncology Service 7 days a week, with an assessment and treatment area. Contact Kirsty Lewis, Ward Sister on 01603 286648.

Cardiology: includes the Coronary Care Unit, a 37 Bed Ward, 12 bed cardio elective bay and 3 cardiac cath labs. We provide opportunities to develop skills in all areas of acute cardiology. Contact Senior Sister Helen Huson on 01603 286370.

For applicants who have not worked within an acute hospital setting in the last 12 months, we provide a robust Supervised Practice Programme to refresh your skills in preparation of taking up an acute post in the Trust (for further information please search for Supervised Practice Programme on the NHS Jobs website using Norwich as a location). The programme can be tailored to individual need, for up to a maximum of 150 hours and attracts a bursary If you wish to discuss the programme please contact Nynke Hardy (contact details to the right of the page).


Requirements:
- Registered Nurse on the appropriate part of the NMC Register;
- ability to maintain high standards of care and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- applicants trained within the EU or EEA will need to be able to
demonstrate proficiency in the English language at level C1 of the
Europass Language (if they applied for registration with the NMC
before 16 January 2016).
