Urogynaecology Clinical Fellow

Applications are invited for Urogynaecology Clinical Fellow (Junior Registrar Level).  This post is due to start from 1st August 2018 for a fixed 12 month period.

The post is ideal for those preparing for entry into urogynaecology subspecialty training and also for those wishing to gain wider experience in clinical and surgical urogynaecology. 

This post is principally linked to the Urogynaecology team and supervision is provided by the two Consultants Urogynaecologists. This programme is accredited by the European Board and College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (EBCOG) and the European Urogynaecology Association (EUGA) for urogynaecology subspecialty training. The urogynaecology unit provides high quality of service with regular MDT meetings and joint working with Colorectals and Urologists and has received accreditation for service provision from the British Society of Urogynaecology (BSUG). Successful candidates are expected to complete a 2-year programme. Motivated applicants will be encouraged to register for a postgraduate degree (MD) with the University of East Anglia (UEA).  

There is also some aspects of general obstetrics and gynaecology commitment and involves working on the junior registrar rota including obstetrics.  Supervision is provided by senior registrars and consultants.

There is routine ward work, Consultants’ rounds, out-patient clinics, on call and operation sessions.  You will be responsible for the upkeep of patient’s notes and undertake a share of completing discharge letters to General Practitioners promptly.
