Clinical Teaching Fellow in Paediatric Medicine for the St George's University School of Medicine
The Clinical Teaching Fellow posts are to support and facilitate students' achievement of the learning objectives outlined in the Clinical Training Manual for SGUSOM with particular emphasis on bedside clinical skills teaching, communication skills and prescribing.
There are four teaching posts, one in each of the following specialties: Medicine, Surgery, O&G and Paediatrics. A vacancy has now arisen for the post in Paediatric Medicine. The ideal candidates will be looking to expand their experience in medical education and supervision as part of enhancing their knowledge as they work towards clinical seniority.
The initial contract will be for 6 months, renewable by mutual agreement.
2 hours per week [to be delivered flexibly by agreement with the Clerkship Director for each post] Principle duties are to facilitate and deliver a programme of clinical instruction in clerkship skills and to help prepare students for final examinations. The contract will be for 6 months [renewable by mutual agreement].
For appointees who stay for a 2nd 6-month term, formal appointment to the SGU Faculty will be recommended [at Clinical Instructor level]
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
