The Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital is seeking a 10PA consultant in paediatric medicine with expertise and enthusiasm for paediatric oncology. This is a replacement post to support the large Level 2 POSCU and acute paediatric medicine at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals Foundation Trust. The 10PA post comprises 8.25 clinical PA of which 4 are dedicated to paediatric oncology clinical related work and 4.25 for paediatric medicine. There are a total of 1.75SPA including 0.25 for the deputy lead role for POSCU.
The successful applicant will contribute to the ‘Consultant of the Week’ (CoW) service and acute paediatric sessions on the Children’s Assessment Unit (CAU) between 0830 and 2200. In this they will join 19 other acute medical consultants, the majority working across both clinical areas to provide an integrated acute paediatric service in this busy teaching hospital. There is a maximum commitment to out of hours working of 1:8 week day nights and 1:8 weekends in total (CAU and CoW sessions combined) and there is no resident on call. The post will not include neonatology.
