Norwich is one of England’s hidden gems, which once found, is not easily left. The city itself boasts a magnificent Norman cathedral surrounded by a picturesque series of court yards which also house the Norwich school, one of the oldest in England which can boast Horatio Nelson as one of its old alumni. The city also has an impressive Norman castle, the oldest market place in England, the Norwich Lanes, home of independent retail, a beautiful art nouveaux arcade full of interesting shops and the world renowned Sainsbury Centre for the Visual Arts, an impressive art gallery and museum located in a Norman Foster building on the University of East Anglia campus. Norwich is not only a city with an impressive historical heritage but continues to be a vibrant, multicultural place to live with innumerable restaurants, an annual arts festival, sculpture trail and the Royal Norfolk show
