FELLOW IN BREAST IMAGING
We are seeking applicants for a newly created Fellowship in Breast Imaging at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The Norfolk and Norwich Breast Unit is one of the country’s busiest breast centres. The successful applicant will join a team of six breast radiology consultants and will gain a rich experience in all aspects of breast imaging.
The post is only suitable for post-CCT senior radiology trainees, and applicants would be expected to have had some prior exposure to breast imaging. Given that we have a large radiology training scheme an enthusiasm and aptitude for teaching and training would also be an advantage.
This is an excellent opportunity to train as a Breast Radiologist amongst a team of committed and enthusiastic consultant trainers with excellent research opportunities and the opportunity to develop educational skills in a busy teaching hospital environment.
Norwich is a beautiful and historic city set within the picturesque Norfolk countryside, and in 2016 was rated as the happiest city in which to work in the UK. It is located close to the stunning North Norfolk coast and the Norfolk Broads which provide a quintessential rural getaway with the North Norfolk villages offering a more traditional ambience. Norwich also hosts a year-round calendar of events and festivals. With excellent transport links to Cambridge and London, Norfolk offers everything you require to establish the perfect work-life balance.
A candidate who is unable for personal reasons to undertake the duties of a whole-time post will receive equal consideration. If such a candidate is appointed the job content will be modified as appropriate. We welcome all applications irrespective of age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race or religion. Additionally, people with disabilities will be offered an interview providing they meet the minimum criteria for the post. The Trust operates job share and flexible working.
Applicants must have full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
