Job overview

Are you looking for an opportunity to rotate around a developing, specialist area? Do you like the idea of being able to work both on an inpatient ward and at a community facility? If so, this role is for you!

It is an exciting time for #TeamNNUH’s Renal department and we are keen to recruit talented nurses to join our friendly, supportive and dynamic team as we continue to grow and develop our area.

We are an established yet forward thinking and developing department and want you to come and be a part of our team. Main duties of the job

Our service consists of:

  • A 26 bedded inpatient ward where the nurse will gain knowledge of caring for patients with acute kidney injury and a range of general medical conditions. Nurses become well trained in complex discharge and mental health provision, helping patients to remain safe. Acute dialysis and plasma exchange treatments are also provided here through our 10 bedded acute facility.
  • There are 36 haemodialysis stations to facilitate the outpatient dialysis service at the Norfolk and Norwich Kidney Centre, Bowthorpe, where you will be trained to deliver Haemodialysis therapy. This is supported by 9 additional haemodialysis stations at Cromer. This is a complex skill which nurses facilitate, giving patients the best outcomes.
  • We also have a satellite Dialysis Unit based at Cromer & District Hospital. A rotation around our Renal Units at NNUH & NNKC is considered essential to becoming a competent renal nurse and can be discussed in more detail with successful applicants
