The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is a 1099 bed District General Hospital with a large Cardiology Department employing 13 Consultant Cardiologists and 25 Cardiac Physiologists, undertaking a wide range of invasive and non-invasive procedures. The department has a large non-invasive workload including Ambulatory monitoring, pacemaker and loop recorder follow-up and echocardiography (TTE, TOE, stress echo and congenital heart disease).

We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague to join this excellent team as a Senior Cardiac Physiologist. You will be working in cardiac catheter labs helping to perform coronary angiography, including PCI, primary PCI and in the implant of pacemakers (including ICD, CRTP and CRTD) and implantable loop recorders. We also perform electrophysiology studies.

As post holder, you will be taken through either an advanced training in either Echocardiography or Cardiac Rhythm Management. You should be working towards accreditation (adult) from either the British or European Society of Echocardiography or aiming for accreditation from the British Heart Rhythm Society or passing the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examination in devices and Electrophysiology.

Hours of Work: Full Time 37.5 hrs per week. We are working towards 7 day working. There is an “on-call” commitment.
